Today we will look at five cooperative board games that are currently on Kickstarter. As always, head on over to a game’s page to take advantage of all of the stretch goals and other perks if you like what you see!
Iron Wars
Days Remaining: 5 | Current Status: Funded
Survive with your Mech mercenary company. Co-op campaign and Competitive modes, tactical boardgame with amazing Mechs and miniatures!
Not only is it great that there are multiple fully-designed game modes, it also seems like a very accessible game. Yes, there’s a lot of content, but the actions you can take look very simple to understand, so this miniatures game might actually be a good one for casual gamers. Oh, and those Mech minis look awesome!
Latest Update (8/26): Another stretch goal was unlocked and a new one was added (new Mechs!).

Wanted Earth
Days Remaining: 21| Current Status: Not Funded Yet
Wanted Earth is an epic miniatures strategy board game for 1-7 players that can be played in 60-120 minutes. Includes 4 modes of play: Normal mode, PVP-mode, Single player/Co-op mode, and a planned faction vs faction mode (this mode will be available with future expansion). Fight as the heroes defending the planet or try to conquer Earth as an invading alien race.
Similar to Iron Wars, Wanted Earth seems like it’s going to be a solid miniatures game for gamers of all experience and skill levels. I really like the look of the cards and boards in this one. Also, anyone who ends up being a fan of the game should get plenty of replayability out of it since it has so many game modes.
Latest Update (8/27): New pledge levels introduced and a surprise new card was added to the Kickstarter version of the game.

There She Is!!
Days Remaining: 15 | Current Status: Not Funded Yet
A challenging cooperative card game based on the popular Korean animation!
I’ve never seen this show, but the theme seems great! I’m pretty sure I’ve never played a game about a rabbit and cat’s love story before!
Latest Update (8/28): Update on the campaign’s achievements.

Awful Fantasy Adventures
Days Remaining: 6 | Current Status: Not Funded Yet
Awful Fantasy Adventures is a quick-playing and “self-expanding” cooperative card game. While the game’s core components offer an easy-to-learn and fast-pace co-op experience, the included Adventure Packs not only expand the game, but modify the rulebook itself.
Brady and Adam Sadler have worked on some very cool games in the past, including Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game, so I’m definitely interested in this one. The artwork looks nice and it seems like it it’ll be an easy game to pick up and play.
Latest Update (8/28): “Awful Goals” update. Read them, they’re hilarious.

Now Boarding
Days Remaining: 21 | Current Status: Funded
Now Boarding is a real-time cooperative boardgame for 2-4 Players which plays in 30-60 minutes. Each player has their own airplane they will be using to pickup and deliver passengers. Every round, more passengers show up. Players will need to plan together to make sure everyone gets picked up and taken to their destination on time.
Tim Fowers (Burgle Bros., Paperback) is an excellent designer, so it’s not surprising that this one funded so quickly. Chances are it’s going to be a lighter game, but with plenty of replayability. Really looking forward to it!
Latest Update (8/28): Backers can fill out a survey telling the designer the stretch goals they’d like to see added.
