A two-player cooperative board game about discovery, survival, and the crushing loneliness of being the only two humans for lightyears.
Far Away is a sandbox for making worlds with scenarios and campaigns resting on top. The biomes, creatures, and landmarks of the world are generated as they are discovered by the explorers. Each mission also comes with Plot Cards which branch the story in different directions as events unfold. The players choose how to react to these variable elements, making each game unique.
There’s one main reason why I really want to check out Far Away: You can’t communicate with your teammate unless you’re in the same space with them. That sounds different and I’m hoping it creates some interesting decisions for players to make throughout the game. Plus, that should help to prevent quarterbacking. It seems like a unique game with a cool theme, so I’m definitely looking forward to playing it.
