Gimkit Snowy Survival is an infection-style 2D mode where one player gets cursed and hunts everyone else with a Snowball Launcher. Regular players run, dodge, and farm resources. When a player’s health hits zero, they join the cursed side. The match ends once everyone is cursed or the host stops it.

How Does Gimkit Snowy Survival Work?

The round begins with a 20-second grace period. After that, a set number of players become “The Cursed” and spawn with Snowball Launchers that deal damage on hit.

Regular players move around the map, farm items, and pick up weapons to defend themselves. Once a regular player loses all health, they switch to the cursed team. The game has no visible timer and only ends when nobody remains uncursed or the host stops it. The winner is whoever survives the longest. Ties break alphabetically.

How to Host a Gimkit Snowy Survival Match

Start a live session on Gimkit host, pick “Snowy Survival” from the mode picker, and press “Continue.” Adjust settings, copy the generated code, and share it with participants or direct them to gimkit.com/join.

You can toggle between spectator and player mode before clicking “Start Game.” If you’re running sessions for Gimkit classes, the setup takes under a minute.

Snowy Survival ties into the broader Gimkit storyline. Scattered across the map are Easter eggs, hidden notes, and password-locked computers. Collecting 10 Gold Keys opens a vault containing Echo’s computer and a morse code console.

The lore connects two factions called Echo and Vortex, plus an entity called “The Crafter.” If you enjoy Gimkit cosmetics and lore-driven content, this mode has the deepest story among Gimkit’s 2D modes like Blastball.
