Search askew or tilt and the results page rotates slightly clockwise. Links still work, scrolling is normal, and the angle stays until your next search. It is small enough that plenty of people check their monitor before they notice what happened.
The two search terms are interchangeable, which is why google tilt and google askew turn up together in suggestions. The askew trick is the same rotation either way.
How the Askew Trick Started
It came from the 2011 run of rotation jokes, one line of CSS applied to the results container. Unlike the seasonal features it was cheap to keep, so it stayed live long after most of its contemporaries were removed.
Its sibling from the same batch is do a barrel roll. One spins and returns upright, the other leans and stays leaning.
